'Buying The Bessborough Site Could Be The Government's Form Of Apology For Ireland's History With Mother And Baby Homes'
That's according to Yougal based Independent Councillor Mary Linehan-Foley, who was born at the former mother and baby home in Blackrock
Councillor Linehan-Foley is urging the Government to buy the site and use it for something to benefit the vulnerable women who spent time there.
The Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary announced plans to sell the site in October putting 105 jobs at risk.
