A 'Hazardous Material Incident' Evacuated The A&E Department In CUH For 2 Hours This Afternoon
6 members of the Cork City Fire Brigade responded to the incident
The fire brigade were called after an automatic fire suppression system had been fired accidentally.
The incident took place during a routine maintenance operation.
Speaking to RedFM News, Third Officer of the Cork City Fire Service Victor Shine says the area has been closely monitored, and that the A&E department is fit for use once again:
