35,000 homes across Cork city and county without power
The ESB are continuing their efforts to restore the power to affected areas
Over 200,000 homes were cut off in the wake of Storm Ophelia .
A status Orange weather warning has been issued for Cork bringing winds of 80 km an hour gusting up to 130 km an hour as well as flooding in the city and coastal areas.
Current weather conditions are hampering their efforts with access to machinery becoming more difficult but ESB Networks confirmed to RedFM News they will keep their crews on the ground for as long as they can.
Speaking to RedFM News Denis Cambridge of ESB Networks says the restoration operation is in full swing despite current weather conditions.
