How To Train Your Hair To Last Longer Between Shampoos
I don’t know about you, but I often find washing my hair to be a burden; it just takes so much of my time.
Actually, I’m wrong. I love the washing part, but I hate the drying part, that is what takes ages. If I don’t dry it, I look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards, so it’s an hour out of my day every second day for the whole process.
The thing about hair is, the more you wash it, the more you have to wash it. A lot of shampoos can contain harsh ingredients that completely strip your hair of all moisture. There are both good and bad oils in the hair and when oils are stripped, your hair wants to produce more natural oil to keep itself hydrated.
In order to wash your hair less, you need to train your hair to last longer in between shampoos – here are my four top tips.
- Use a hair cleanser rather than a shampoo that lathers
Shu Uemura Essence Absolue is a great product. It’s cream based which initially removes oil and build-up without stripping the hair’s natural oils. Your hair is left super smooth and shiny after using it.
- Rinse your hair with Apple Cider Vinegar
This is a brilliant tip for oily hair and is just what you need to reset the PH balance of your skin, especially if it has been disrupted by shampoos and conditioners. The vinegar leaves hair clean and smooth without stripping the hair, it also strengthens the follicle and promotes hair growth.
