TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REDFM TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Employees and relatives of employees of RedFM Cork are not eligible to enter.2. Terms and Conditions pertaining to entry to any radio competition originated by RedFM will be available for scrutiny at the station.
3. Prizes will be as stated. No cash alternative can or will be offered. If for unseen circumstances prizes are not available suitable substitutes will be provided.
4. Entrants must be aged 18 years and over when entering competitions with prizes featuring alcohol or prizes that are of an adult nature. Competitions elements featuring alcohol or prizes of an adult nature and where the prize destination is outwith Ireland(e.g. U.S.A) entrants must be aged 21 years and over.
5. Entrants for competitions with prizes featuring such items as cars or other powered vehicles must possess the required EU licence or other certification.
6. Entrants for competitions featuring holiday prizes, within the UK or abroad, must possess a valid passport, be able to travel on the allocated dates [if so stated] and meet the necessary entry requirements, including visa conditions for the countries specified in the competition. Entrants should also have sufficient funds to meet any and all incurred costs over and above any allocated spending money detailed in the prize.
7. Entrants of phone competitions must seek the permission of the owner of the phone before use. e.g. Parent or Employer.
8. If in the course of a telephone call the telephone line drops out or breaks up RedFM has the right to proceed to another caller. In such event the participating stations will not e responsible to rewarding of any prize to the caller who’s line has dropped out or broken out. The decision of RedFM as to whether or not a line has dropped out or broken up will be final and no discussion will be entertained.
9. In the case where RedFM has to call back a winner line on air, if the winner does not answer or is non contactable, RedFM has the right to proceed to contact a listener who has the next correct answer or nearest answer to the answer announced on air.
10. Premium Rate services will be clearly identified on air and call rates and duration of calls explained in detail. The competition mechanic will also be clearly explained.
11. The Judges and/or the Station Director's decision is final and legally binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Prize-winners may be asked – but are not required – to participate in promotional activities surrounding the competition and in promotion of future competitions.
13. In the event of a tie-break, entrants will be asked to participate in a secondary test of skill.
14. Prizes will be described as accurately as possible on-air and where practicable visual examples will be made available via the station website.
15. In general, entrants cannot win more than one prize, in any one competition. The exception to this rule will apply only where the mechanic of the competition dictates numerous entry elements or levels and whereby a prize can be won at each level of entry
16. Prizes, derived for competition elements designed specifically for "employees and the workplace" are limited to one prize per workplace.
17. REdFM cannot be held responsible for damage to competition winners property, themselves or other parties, nor can RedFM be held responsible for any documents, monies or personal item lost or stolen in the duration of the holiday element of their prize.
18. RedFM will keep prizes for 3 months, if they have not been collected within this time, winners must forfeit their prize
19. RedFM reserve the right to exclude any persons from the competition on the ground of their medical condition or history or any reason contestants.
It is the responsibility of the prize winners to secure the necessary holiday, travel and health insurance cover.
FOTA TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The name "The Wild Life" is copyright of Cork's RedFM.
Cork’s RedFM reserves the right to disqualify incomplete Applications or those that do not follow the requirements or Terms. Cork’s RedFM does not accept responsibility for lost or delayed Applications or for any errors that Cork’s RedFM does not control.
Cork’s RedFM’s decision as to whether an Application is successful (or in the event of any argument regarding the rules, conduct or results of the Application process) is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Whether particular Applications are used is entirely Cork’s RedFM’s decision.
3. HOW WILL CORK’S RedFM USE YOUR MATERIAL?
"User Generated Content" (referred to in the Terms as "User Content") includes all content provided to Cork’s RedFM by users i.e. videos, clips, pictures, reviews, comments, data posting, competition entries and all other user generated material.
Cork’s RedFM will own User Content submitted as part of an Application.
By submitting User Content as part of an Application, you therefore agree that your User Content (and any further use made of this) will belong to Cork’s RedFM and that we will have the right to use and promote this (and authorize others to do so) as we see fit.
Where we do not own User Content, you agree that Cork’s RedFM may make any and all User Content available on the Site and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, which may include other internet sites, mobile, television and/or radio and that User Content may be made available with advertising and/or sponsorship. You now grant Cork’s RedFM a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence (for the full period of any rights in the User Content) to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, make derivative works or podcasts from, edit, alter, store, re-format, sell and sub-licence the User Content for such purposes.
Cork’s RedFM does not guarantee to use or otherwise make available User Content. Any User Content may be rejected by Cork’s RedFM and may be edited, moderated or deleted at its absolute discretion. All decisions are final and Cork’s RedFM will not enter into any discussions or correspondence about why User Content has been rejected.
4.YOU PROMISE:
You agree and confirm that:
A. If submitting an Application you are the appropriate age.
B. all information provided by you to Cork’s RedFM is accurate, true and up to date in all respects and at all times, all facts expressed by you in User Content are true to the best of your knowledge and belief and, if your User Content contains opinions, these are your own and genuinely and truly held by you.
C. all User Content is original to you and you are fully entitled (and have all necessary consents) to give the User Content to Cork’s RedFM and you are happy for this to be used as set out in the Terms.
D.all User Content will comply with any additional terms or requirements on the Site and you will at all times comply with the Terms.
